Artistic Staff Biographies


Artistic Director:
Joyce Baldwin

Joyce holds a B.F.A in Musical Theater from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music. She is a professional performer and member of the actor’s union, AEA. She has toured nationally and internationally in the musical, Grease! as “Jan” and “Rizzo/us.” Joyce has performed with such names as Chubby Checker, Eric Estrada, Fabian and Frankie Avalon. She traveled the U.S. in the Warner Brothers national tour of Scooby-Doo in Stagefright, Live on Stage! as the brainy “Velma” including two weeks at The Radio City Music Hall in N.Y.C. While in "The Big Apple," Joyce performed at Wings Theater, The Danny Kaye Theater, Gallery Players and Musical Theater Works. Some of her favorite regional and stock credits include “Joanne” in Godspell, “Robert-Anne” in Nunsense, and “Martha” in Secret Garden. Joyce has directed and choreographed numerous local productions including, The Theme is Love at the Clemens Center, A Chorus Line, The Frog Prince and The Cat in the Castle all with the Summer Repertory Company of the Finger Lakes. Additionally, she wrote, directed and produced the original children's musical A New Home for Sarah. Joyce is a native Elmiran and graduate of Southside High School. She currently resides in New Hampshire with her husband, James and daughter, Bunny.

Elizabeth West

Elizabeth is a graduate from The Winchendon School in Winchendon, MA. She will be attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute as a Biomedical Engineering major in the fall. She has been studying dance and the performing arts since the age of four and with the Dance Center since the age of eight. She has achieved top honors at numerous dance competitions including the Title of Miss Access Broadway, Boston. Elizabeth has been in many musicals and plays throughout her life including Godspell, Grease and most recently, performed in and choreographed Legally Blonde at the Winchendon School. This is her second year with SSPA.
Counselor:
Katrina Wilson

Katrina is 16 years old and has been dancing since 2002. She started at a studio in Massachusetts, but when she was 6 she moved to New Hampshire and started dancing, singing and acting at The Dance Center. She has been a member of TDC’s Dance Competition Team since 2007, and was the charter member of TDC’s Vocal Competition Team in 2010. Local audiences may remember her from Theater at The Mounts production of A Very Special Christmas. Katrina’s highlights of the 2014-15 season include winning the Dancers, Inc. Regional First Place Teen All Star Vocalist Award; competing in Access Broadway’s Regional Triple Threat competition and winning an Acting/Singing/Dancing Scholarship from Access Broadway. SSPA is happy to have Katrina back for a second season!

Chicken









Chicken hails from Switzerland where she left a lucrative career in stock market trading to pursue the American dream. Her hobbies include, dressing up, break dancing, and pyramid schemes. She is thrilled to once again be S.S.P.A’s official mascot.
